West has essentially had a Midas Touch when it comes to assembling championship caliber rosters. He is responsible for creating the Showtime Era Lakers (5 championships), the Shaq/Kobe Lakers (3 championships), and he also had a critical role in creating the current Warriors roster (3 championships and counting)
Jerry West is one of the NBA's greats and it's fitting that it's his silhouette on the league's iconic logo.
