image for Suge Knight to Serve 28 Years Over 2015 Hit-and-Run Death

Disgraced former rap mogul Marion “Suge” Knight is expected to be sentenced to 28 years in state prison, after reaching a plea agreement in the 2015 death of Terry Carter.

Knight pleaded no contest to one count of voluntary manslaughter, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said Thursday.

Knight is scheduled for sentencing Oct. 4.

Knight was accused of intentionally running over Cle “Bone” Sloan and Terry Carter, 55, killing Carter and injuring Sloan.

A retired man has found a massive gold nugget worth at least $110,000 while prospecting in a remote part of WA's northern Goldfields.

"When I had finished digging it out, I just thought 'Oh my god'," he said of the find, a 3.23kg specimen containing 68 troy ounces or 2.11kg of gold.

"It was pretty deep at about 800mm in clay soil so it took more than two hours of careful digging to get it out.". »

Apple has quietly introduced "trust scores" for people based on how they use their iPhones and other devices.

In an update to its privacy, Apple said the rating system could be used to help fight fraud, though specific examples of how this would work were not given.

The method is reminiscent of an episode of the dystopian TV series Black Mirror, in which people are rated on their interactions with other people. »
