The GOP representing corporate interests has gerrymandered the country ruining democracy. People can not compete against corporations. Citizens united put the nail on the coffin.
My god, the number of otherwise sane people who I’ve talked to over the last year who say things like “well, the stock market is doing great, so Trump isn’t that bad” blows my freaking mind. Over half of all Americans have less than $1,000 in savings. How many do you think have enough invested in the stock market that it will really change their lives that the market is up?
Meanwhile inflation is up and wages are stagnant.
Edit: looks like I drew a few of those people out. Listen, I’m not saying the last president was great either. Things have been going south for some time. Trump is just accelerating it.
