You should have fact-checked whichever Mother Jones article you got your data from, because PA absolutely does not ban atheists from holding office. Article I, Section 4 says that people who do believe in God can't be prohibited from holding office because they believe in God
How you get to "Pennsylvania's Constitution prohibits atheists from holding office" from there is beyond me.

I’m an atheist in Pennsylvania and held public office twice, so apparently no one cares.
