The first image makes it seem as if Genghis himself killed 40 million people. The figure are the casualities of the entire Mongol conquests, including the succesor states - so about 150 years. It's also extremely disputed and I think it's at the higher end of the range. Some estimates go as far down as 12 million, but really it's impossible to say. Still horrific numbers.
Also the CO2 thing gets repeated a lot, but AFAIK the study which proposed it says the actual effect was almost insignificant - something like reducing the CO2 concentration by 0,1 ppm (parts per million). Since the industrial era, we have raised the concentration by over 100 ppm, roughly over the same time period.
So I think Thanos wouldn't appreciate the inefficency of pre-industrial warfare.
