I work for a triple A developer, and you can bet your ass that every person who did a great mod, or a great cosplay, or a great real life action video on YouTube regarding our game(s) got a great offer to work for us. Maybe my company is an outlier, but they take fans really serious and will try to make them one of ours really quick.
