kudos to him for saying it! my friend had eleven cats one time, and she kept baking me things that had a ton of cat hair in them... also her mom was a chain smoker and they lived together...
I used to work at place very like PetCo (PetCo bought the place eventually). There was this woman we called the Cat Lady for obvious reasons. We'd flip coins or play paper-rock-scissor to see who had to help her. She was weird and she smelled absolutely disgusting. She'd buy 150lbs of cat litter and another 100lbs of cat food at a time, though, so she needed help getting it all and loading it into her car.
One day I lost the coin-flip and had to help her. When she opened her car, so I could load everything, the smell hit me like a slap to the face. I fought an involuntary gag reflex. By way of conversation, I asked "So how many cats do you have?" She said "Ninety-nine at last count" and went on to describe how wonderful they were. "But do you know what the best part is?" she asked. "No, what's that?" "They don't smell at all. Really, you'd think they would but they don't!" She was totally serious. She just couldn't smell herself anymore, I guess. Everywhere this woman went she left a stomach-churning cloud in her wake and she couldn't smell it.
