I worked road construction last summer. The amount people who would do this is unsettling.
We laid fresh asphalt on the right lane of a road and in order to use this road, you had to drive on the left lane while the right lane cooled down. 2 different cars driven by elderly people, after I specifically explained to them to STAY IN THE LEFT LANE, both drove over cones and drove for a quarter mile on the ~180F asphalt. Luckily there was no damage to the road but their tires were permanently warped. I got my ass chewed out for that.
People who cant follow simple instructions shouldn't be allowed to drive.
