Oh, yeah, I had a thing like that happen to me in Ios and another island surrounding Greece, I was with one of my cousins and we were walking around a port when we saw a stray cat. I crouched by it and after a bit it walked up and nuzzled my leg. I loved that cat. That was the first island, then we went to another and at a restaurant I saw a cat go by us. So after I was done I walked around for the cat and found it. It walked away a few times but ended up in an empty chair sleeping when I left. Honorable mention goes to a little kit who let me pet it, but did not like me petting it cause it went away after a sec.
Had this happen to me today. I was cutting the grass, random neighborhood cat just sitting there watching me, comes up for a head scritch, gets the scritch and leaves.
