I worked with a guy who wore one ironically, our boss made him un-ironically take it off and put on a normal one.

Theres one rafting company in my valley that wear these types of helmets while guiding, totally thought it was real until i kept seeing them again. Pretty stylish but not sure about banging my head on the rocks with the fucking brim.
