Every time I would walk the dog, he got a treat when we returned. Well the older cat noticed and eventually started going out on walks with us and would beg me to feed him too when we got back, so I did. That's how I accidentally trained the cat to go on walks.
Sometimes I'd go out by myself to the gas station and the cat would follow me around. Went on for so long I got this funny reputation for walking the cat.
I miss him so much, he passed before I moved away.
