Flight attendants save 3 girls from human trafficking on Honolulu-bound flight

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Three Hawaiian Airlines flight attendants are being credited with helping to save three girls from an apparent human trafficking situation on a flight to Honolulu.

Wes Hirata saw an older Asian man boarding a flight out of Los Angeles with three girls — and thought something seemed off.

He alerted his fellow flight attendants, who helped confirm his suspicions.

The trio discovered that one of the girls was underage.

When they looked at the passenger manifest, they saw that all the girls had the same name.

The flight attendants alerted the captain, who notified the operations center and security.

The group of passengers was questioned when the flight arrived in Honolulu and deputy sheriffs referred it to the FBI it as a human trafficking case.

Human trafficking has to be the worst crime going on, I couldn't think of a worst fate for anyone being trafficked! How in this day and age is this shit still so widespread.

It’s crazy how many human traffickers there are on US flights.

I would have thought that having three passengers with the same name would have triggered some questions well before the plane took off. Good that he followed his instincts and alerted the authorities.
