I was hit while stopped at a light. The other car drove on past, over a front lawn of a house, barely missing a power line pole and stopped in the street sideways, on the next block. Then tried to just leave the scene. I approached the vehicle and the 90 + year old driver asked if there was any damage. He was stone deaf, half blind at least, withe his wife in the car. I asked the police to take him to the station to fill out the report and they agreed. This guy was very old, very nice, and was also a mobile death trap on wheels.
My only accident I’ve ever been in, I was rear ended by a woman while I was turning. A girl had entered the crosswalk (illegally) while wearing headphones, so I had to stop short. The elderly woman behind me hit me, and we pulled over. She wanted my information but said “can you write it down for me? I’ve been pretty shaky and haven’t been able to see too well since I had my stroke earlier this year”. 🙄
