I wasted my time giving this person legitimate constructive advice to the same question posted on r/relationship_advice and they turned out to be making a false story.
Don't be annoyed or think you wasted your time. Even if the person you replied to is a catfish that's posting bullshit stories, there are plenty of other people who read your comment and felt that it helped them.
