Sorry to burst anon’s bubble but an impeached President couldn’t be VP. And Vice Presidents have to be confirmed by Congress.

Edit: I thought OP meant impeached and convicted. My bad.

The constitution already has that covered; a president can pardon everything except impeachment: "The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, ... and he shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offenses against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment" (Article II § 2).
