Last year, I built a sound-proofed, built-in doghouse under my stairs, so Bucky would have a safe place to hide when he got scared. On the 4th of July, he let me know, in no uncertain terms, that I had wasted my time.
I had a friend that used to get super drunk and climb into tight spaces to sleep. He usually didn't remember doing it, but it was kinda his thing. He would've loved your dog home. Also, I found him in the dryer once. Basically what I'm getting at is my friend and your dog should probably be friends.
