Professional animator here: this shot is not rotoscoped. Its used for reference and inspiration. All animators usually film themselves before starting a shot, you have no idea how much footage exsists of thirty something men acting like 17 year old girls, or horses... or whatever.

I believe Disney does this with a lot of their animated films. I know they did for sure with Snow White and Cinderella.
