it's because Amazon sends emails asking you to answer a specific question. Someone sees this email and thinks that it means that the asker is personally asking them.
My mom wanted some large plant holders last year, saw some on Amazon but it wasn't specific about size. So I asked how big they were. My favourite answer was "Bigger than my old pots but smaller than a tree".

I DONT KNOW. I BOUGHT IT FOR MY GRANDSON WHEN HE LEFT FOR UNIVERSITY. HE SEEMED HAPPY WITH IT AT HIS GOING AWAY PARTY. I MADE PASTA SALAD.
