I Remember the Huffy "dirt bikes" that had a "NOT INTENDED FOR OFF-ROAD USE" sticker on the frame.
They marketed it as a dirt bike, then disclaimed it.
Of course, we all had to ridicule the poor kids that thought the bike was cool just by simply pointing out that sticker which they then promptly removed.
