A lot of people here saying the English system us better for "day to day" stuff, but I think that's only because they get up with it. If you grew up with meters and Celsius, it'd be just as useful for daily life too
I grew up thinking this was easy for everyone to remember when I was in elementary school, because my zip code started with 5280, and it didn’t hit me until 5th or 6th grade that I was lucky. (Davenport, Iowa for who is wondering)
