There have been Nazis in America since the 1930's, beginning with Friends of New Germany (1933) and the German American Bund (1936). The National States' Rights Party was founded in 1958, just 13 years after WW2 ended. The American Nazi Party was founded a year later and quickly became the most prominent neo-Nazi group of the 1960's. It renamed itself New Order in 1983 and is still presently active.

In the 1970's, the National Socialist Party of America infamously won a Supreme Court case to march in Skokie, Illinois. Skokie has a large Jewish community, and at the time of the trial a number of Holocaust survivors were living there. After the ruling, they attained permits to march in Chicago and marched there.

Currently, the largest active neo-Nazi group is the National Socialist Movement, which is part of the Nationalist Front, 'a loose coalition of US-based neo-Nazi, white nationalist, white supremacist, and neo-Confederate groups.'

The Nationalist Front and the NSM were the major groups behind the 2017 Charlottesville white supremacist rally called 'Unite the Right.' Tragically, a white nationalist domestic terrorist drove a car into a crowd of counter-protestors, killing one and injuring 19 people.

Who knew that being unable to get laid would cause the resurrection of Nazism.
