New research suggests that the suppression of sexual thoughts among religious people only begets a greater preoccupation with sexual thoughts and fantasies.

“I grew up in a religious community and today I define myself as religious,” said study author Yaniv Efrati of Beit Berl College.

A survey of 661 teens found that religious adolescents reported greater preoccupation with unwanted sexual thoughts and fantasies than secular adolescents.

“It would not be prudent to say that religious people have a higher compulsive sexual behavior than secular people,” Efrati said.

A passerby shot and killed a man who went into a Lake Hefner restaurant Thursday evening and opened fire.

Bo Mathews said a man, whose name has not been released, went into the restaurant and opened fire, wounding two people.

Two pig farming brothers have planted an extra 20 hectares (49 acres) of nectar-rich flowers in a bid to feed a million bumblebees this year.

Paul and Mark Hayward raise 500 pigs for the restaurant trade on Dingley Dell farm near Woodbridge.
