I'm actually loving all the emails and text messages.
They all stress that they require me to agree to the changes etc in order to keep bombarding me with shitty marketing.
I sit there laughing as I delete the emails and messages. I find it incredibly satisfying knowing that these companies will no longer be able to harass me, or at least harass me as much as they have been.
WilliamHill (sports betting) even called me everyday this week. My phone flagged it as spam. I then got a text message explaining that they need my approval to continue marketing.
I'd rather get a spam email from then saying they will no longer be able to send me emails, opposed to their regular shite.
A rare case of some boring law coming into effect that I actually care about and agree with.

I had an app installed on an old phone.
Yesterday I got a text message from the developers of the app to agree to the updated policy.
Sent to a new phone that had never had the app installed.
Please someone fucking kill everyone.

Strangely enough I started getting emails from websites which I was sure I unsubscribed from. I had to unsubscribe from their damn emails again
