One of my favorite places in the U.S. Thanks for the reminder that I need to get back out there and take more pictures of it. Something about that entire area that takes you away from life and lets you just enjoy the peace and beauty. Only other time I was there.
Stayed at 'The View' hotel recently overlooking Monument Valley. It was a long drive in from Denver, and by the time we reached the western border of Colorado it was dark.
Driving to Monument Valley at 11 p.m. was eerie. It was as dark as it could be, but the stars were brilliantly illuminated.
By morning time I remember seeing the first glimmers of light as the sun rose. The quietness of the valley was just absolutely unforgettable.
