The only time I've been to the Grand Canyon, I was lucky enough to have a visible sunset and then clear skies so lots and lots of stars at the same time as a lightning storm in the distance all within a couple hours. That might be normal, idk.. but coming from NJ, I was in awe. It was just gorgeous in every direction.
