The Polynesian-themed Disney hit "Moana" is making its worldwide debut — again. Only this time, everything is in the Hawaiian language.

The Olelo Hawaii version of the popular animated film will premiere on June 10 at the Ko Olina Resort's second-annual World Oceans Day celebration. Festivities will include live entertainment, ocean education, and food for purchase.

It's the first time a Disney movie has ever been re-recorded in the hawaiian language.

The University of Hawaii’s Academy for Creative Media System funded and coordinated the re-recording of "Moana" with the goal of sharing the film for educational purposes in Hawaii and beyond, according to the academy. The movie will star original cast member Aulii Cravalho as Moana and Waianae’s Nicole Scherzinger as Sina.

The cast will also include 24 Hawaiian-language speaking actors and singers from local communities.

The celebration begins at 4 p.m. on June 10, and is free and open to the public. Parking is $10 per vehicle, but event tickets can be gotten for free online.

Alcoholic beverages, coolers, glass containers, and several other items will be prohibited at the event. However, event-goers are encouraged to bring reusable cups, towels and blankets.

From the article's second paragraph:

The University of Hawaii’s Academy for Creative Media System funded and coordinated the re-recording of "Moana" with the goal of sharing the film for educational purposes in Hawaii and beyond, according to the academy.

Disney didn't create this, it's not an official release and it's for educational purposes only.
