Mommy came to visit. I got her drunk. I haven’t seen her laugh or smile like this in years. (Bell’s Palsy) She is so self conscious about it. But I will always think she’s beautiful.

That’s a really lovely picture dude. I like to think of myself as a bit of an ox but that bought a tear to my eye. You’ve inspired me to give my mum a quick call...she is as mad as box of frogs, with bees in her head to boot but I still love her.

I had bell's palsy when I was young, but I was one of the lucky people who had it go away before there was significant permanent damage. When I couldn't move half my face, my mom got me an eye patch to cover the eye that couldn't blink. It kept my eye from drying out by keeping it closed, plus I felt like a badass. It really helped with my self esteem.

I've had bells palsy for over 3 years and I'm still not fully recovered. It is a huge Ego shot and effects me everyday. I feel limited in the things i do when talking or laughing .
