Don't forget, I thought we were supposed to, ya know, celebrate when people don't let gender norms dictate their lives? Especially if it makes your kids happier.

I moved in with my dad full time when I was 11. He learned to braid, crimp (Eesh early 2000s), straighten, and curl my hair with internet tutorials. He's a great dad. We have our differences but whenever he's a shit I remember him crimping my hair for picture day and my heart melts. We still have a great relationship :)

I bought a Disney hair styling book that I was going to learn from, then my 5 year of daughter decided she wants short hair, a pixie cut. She was very, very specific with the hair cutter, and she's very very happy with her hair now. Oh well. Not getting rid of the book though.
