James Shaw Jr. was identified as the hero who helped stop the Waffle House shooter this morning. He says he doesn’t feel like a hero, which is exactly what you’d expect a real hero to say.
Minutes ago, he said he was honestly just trying to get himself out alive by throwing the gun behind the counter. I admire both that honesty and the bravery to act. Saving himself saved others.

He basically rushed and disarmed the shooter while he was reloading. This guy saved a lot of lives in a packed restaurant. A true hero in every sense.
