The average human life is actually pretty long relative to most animals.
edit: IMO, that's even more motivating than saying life is short, just thinking of all the things I will learn and do, places I'll go and people I'll meet, and how much time I have to follow my dreams.
hopefully i don’t get downvoted into oblivion for this but...all of these resonate with me except for #8. while i do think that self-love is important, the love from others is equally important. this life is rough. too rough to go it alone. don’t seek the love of those who do not wish to willingly give it. but self-love isn’t always enough to make it through a rough time.
TLDR: don’t discount/push away the love of others because you think loving yourself is more important.
