This Texas Bar's Response to an Anti-Beer Ad Is Brilliant

Authored by esquire.com and submitted by FourTwentySixtyEight

The Anchor of Hope Baptist Church in Canyon, Texas, placed an advertisement in The Canyon Times earlier this month calling craft beer "the devil's craft " and listing excerpts of 10 different bible verses as a warning to those who drink booze.

According to the ad, you could die in a coma or lose your kingdom. Avoiding booze, on the other hand, could result in you becoming "great in the sight of the Lord."

In response to the ad, the Imperial Taproom posted an image of the advertisement on their Facebook page and is now letting customers use the ad as a $1 coupon.

The difference between Catholics and Baptists is that Catholics say hi to each other in the liquor store.

Obviously, their next special release needs to be named "The Devil's Craft".

If a newspaper costs less than a dollar, you've got yourself an endless supply of the devil's craft.
