I was in White Sands National Monument last weekend for our engagement photos and we couldn't have asked for better weather. This was taken around golden hour as the rest of the park started turning a wonderful shade of orange.

What is pretty darn cool about the white sands is that it is only about 1 hour away from Ruidoso. So you can be in the middle of a white sand desert, to the point that in every direction all you can see is white sand and some mountains in the distance. One hour later you can be on a pine covered mountain in Ruidoso that looks more like Washington state or Michigan than New Mexico.

My favorite park in the US. If anyone is ever in the New Mexico/West Texas area GO TO THIS PARK
