As of 1999, this is still taught to Marine Corps infantry as a way to deal with Helicopter strafing. To be sure, only as a last resort, but they do say lay on your back like this and aim at a 45 degree angle... then get torn to pieces by 20mm chaingun ammo anyway

How sure are we the title is correct? They're all using sniper rifles and have nice clean uniforms. Looks like a training class.
