Not to mention having to prepare for Ireland going for the Grand Slam (rugby) against England on the same day. Giving the Irish double the reason to drink!

There’s 100 kegs in this shot. Assuming each keg holds 80 pints that’s 8000 pints of beer (we’ll pretend there’s no wastage). Let’s say each patron has 3 pints before moving to the next bar that’s 2,667 customers.

Now let’s say the bar is open for 14 hours that’s 571 pints poured every hour and 190 customers arriving (and leaving) every hour.

It’s Dublin so probably around €6 a pint so total daily takings of €48,000 or $59,000.

I worked in a pub in Cardiff on St Patrick’s Day. The pub was decked out in Guinness shit. Flags. Scarfs. Promo hats. The staff had Guinness shirts.

The assistant manager was in charge as the owners were away. She forgot to order extra Guinness.

We ran out by lunchtime.

The whole evening was a fucking embarrassment. People turning up and ordering 6 pints. I’m sorry we don’t have any Guinness ...people laughing and looking at you like you’re actually joking.

The manager just hid out the back the whole shift.
