My Japanese colleague left his wallet in a cab in Boston today. The driver found it, came back to the hotel and walked around the lobby until he found him. Thanks Kelly, you’re a good man.
After letting him know it was my first trip to Boston, I had an Uber Black driver take me on a tour of all the sights of Boston for no extra charge. Super cool driver, Boston apparently has a great cab scene.
I once left my laptop in a taxi while in Manhattan. The driver dropped me off at a restaurant. When I went inside, a few minutes later I realized I had left it in the cab. I went outside and he was no longer there. I was panicking because I knew there was no way to contact him. A little while later the driver came into the restaurant returning my laptop saying that his next ride (headed to LGA so it would have been a substantial fare) found the laptop and he told her that he needed to return the laptop to me so that he couldn’t take her. He turned down the substantial fare to make sure he returned to the restaurant while I was still there. I tipped him with all of the cash I had left on me and told him how grateful I was.

See we're only assholes in Boston if you deserve it.
