80 percent of deforestation in the Amazon rainforest is due to an increase in raising cattle for human consumption

Also the last two paragraph are just weird projection. "You just said you miss the rainforest, but your single sentence post didn't name all the different aspects of it you'll miss, fucking poser"

True veganism does embrace the impact on animals, people and the environment. Most vegans don’t use palm oil and have transitioned to fair trade products like coffee, tea, and chocolate. The amount of rainforest destroyed for factory farming cattle is HUGE and instead of replacing the oxygen giving and air cleaning trees with something “sustainable” they’ve introduced thousands of methane producing cows and massive amounts of urine and feces. This has detrimental effects in the immediate area and around the world.

I've seen numbers reaching up to 91% of Amazon deforestation being due to cattle ranching.
