Travolta's career takes another very interesting turn with "Moose."

Fred Durst, best known as the front man of rock band Limp Bizkit, has kicked off principal photography on his latest directorial effort “Moose,” which stars John Travolta in the lead role of a movie lover who turns into a crazy stalker.

“Moose” is written by Durst and Dave Bekerman and is based on Durst’s personal experiences dealing with a stalker years ago. Travolta’s titular character is obsessed with his favorite celebrity action hero (Devon Sawa of “Nikita”) and sets out to destroy his life when his fixation with him turns dangerous.

The film is shooting in Alabama and is backed by Andrea Iervolino and Monika Bacardi’s AMBI Media Group. “Moose” marks Durst’s third directorial effort following “The Education of Charlie Banks” and “The Longshots.”

“There certainly is no shortage of amazing Fred Durst stories to tell, but this one in particular is unequivocally cinematic in how it plays out,” AMBI’s Iervolina said in a statement. “John’s range as an actor will once again be shown off as he steps into a character that Fred is all too familiar with – making this pairing so exciting.”

Travolta most recently starred in Ti West’s “In a Valley of Violence” and has the films “Gotti” and “Trading Paint” still waiting to be released.

When I woke up today I did not expect to see "Limp Bizkit" in a headline.
