It was a project for 8th grade. We had to write a letter to a business/company for something. I was so thrilled they wrote back. Sadly, I lost the Darth Vader bookmark....
I have a similar letter to this. I was 9 at the time and obsessed with Star Wars and LEGO Star Wars sets. Seeing as it was my birthday soon I decided to send a letter to George Lucas with some pictures of me with my LEGO sets inviting him to my bday party. I remember how excited I was when I saw a letter in the mail with Lucasfilm on the front! (I don’t remember exactly if it was him or his secretary that responded (probably the latter)) It said that he was very impressed with my LEGO Star Wars creations and that unfortunately he couldn’t come because he had to go to the premiere of ROTS, but that as an apology the letter came with tickets to see ROTS for me and my family!
