With the current box office success that Black Panther is having and with Avengers: Infinity War on the horizon, it’s difficult to imagine the Marvel Cinematic Universe slowing down anytime soon.

Black Panther is well on its way to a $1 billion at the box office, and the MCU just passed the $14 billion global milestone. This number is certain to grow, and many people believe the best is yet to come. Reaching this number is a testament to everyone in the process of creating these films and the fans that continue to support the franchises!

When Disney purchased Marvel back in 2009, critics believed the $4 billion price tag was too high. History is proving that it may have actually been a steal the way that all of the franchises under the MCU umbrella have performed and continued to grow. With high-profile actors locked in, top-notched directors given freedom to take risks, and the next phase in order, the MCU’s future is incredibly bright.

I wonder how it will change once the Infinity War movie finishes including all the contracts of the current casts.

Crazy to think Disney bought Marvel studios in 2009 for $4 billion.

Edit: Disney bought ALL of Marvel, not just the studio.
