FCC Chairman Ajit Pai smiled smugly while he blew up the basic net neutrality protections that keep the Internet free from censorship, throttling, and outrageous fees. He lied his face off, “joked” about being a Verizon puppet, refused to comply with transparency laws, and ignored overwhelming public outcry from across the political spectrum.

But we can still stop Pai and wipe that arrogant smile off his face. Congress can block the FCC’s repeal of net neutrality using the Congressional Review Act (CRA), and we’re just one vote away from winning in the Senate. Join the Operation: #OneMoreVote, the Internet-wide day of action on Feb 27. If we can pass the CRA and block Pai’s repeal, it will be a humiliating blow, and the worst day of his political career. In short, it will be glorious.

P.S. The Internet is understandably furious at Ajit Pai. Some people have been sending him threats or calling him racist names. Don’t do that. It’s wrong and it’s not helpful. Instead, let’s channel our rage productively and get Congress to overturn his terrible, unpopular, illegitimate vote to kill net neutrality.

I mean, this is kinda misleading, the CRA is a 1996 law people want to invoke to block him on the NN repeal. Definitely should happen, but saying "Pass the CRA" is likely to confuse people, especially those trying to reach out to their reps.

If you are wishing to be active and reach out to your representatives please visit https://whoismyrepresentative.com/ and contact them asking them to vote in favor of using the CRA to protect net neutrality so that it gets done!

Edit: I just want to hijack this because I keep seeing the same stupid argument that "Nothing has changed since NN got repealed so its no big deal". Net Neutrality is STILL IN EFFECT! Ajit Pai just started the 60 day countdown as required by the CRA today, if congress doesn't block it after 60 days in session, then and only then will Net Neutrality actually be repealed. So please don't confuse the lack of changes now with what will happen after it actually gets repealed.

Breaking: right after I posted this Reuters reported that the FCC repeal is expected to enter the Federal Register on Thursday. That will officially start the clock on 60 legislative days we have to overturn the repeal using the Congressional Review Act. There's a mass Internet-Wide day of action planned this coming Tuesday, Feb 27. It's go time!
