It is with a heavy heart that The A.V. Club has learned of the existence of a new Rugrats porn parody, in which Tommy, Chuckie, Angelica, Phil, Lil, and the rest of the gang are imagined as diaper-wearing adults who—after decades of simmering sexual tension—remove those diapers and fuck each other. The latest pop-culture porn “parody” from Woodrocket plumbs the absolute depths of the nostalgia/porn paradigm, which renders naughty the things we liked from our childhood. Previously, this turned cartoon characters from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Pokemon into sexualized beasts, a sort of “only ‘90s kids will get” listicle except for masturbation. The difference this time, of course, is that the characters of Rugrats are actual babies. You do not need us to tell you why this is bad. This is transparently bad.
At the very least, it is so bad that it’s hard to imagine a nostalgic pop-culture property worse than this being turned into a porn. Even the Muppet Babies would have to be rendered as adult Muppets having sex, a thing which undoubtedly already exists. The trailer for Tugrats, meanwhile—which shows such jokes as Reptar getting a boner, and also Chuckie getting a boner—stresses that the characters are adults now, although the term is obviously being used pretty loosely here. The video is safe for work, but what cost it has on your eternal soul remains to be seen.
