On Friday, the Kentucky State Police responded to Rand Paul's residence in Bowling Green at 3:21 p.m.

When they arrived, troopers say they discovered that Rene Boucher, 59, of Bowling Green, intentionally assaulted Sen. Rand Paul causing minor injury.

Troopers say Senator Paul was not transported to the hospital.

Boucher was arrested and charged with one count of Assault 4th—minor injury, and taken to the Warren County Detention Center.

"Senator Paul was blindsided and the victim of an assault.

The arrest warrant goes on to say that Paul had small cuts to his nose and mouth. »

Tencent removed Microsoft's Chinese AI chatbot after it posted unpatriotic messages

This time, Chinese internet giant Tencent has pulled Microsoft's local chatbot XiaoBing after it reportedly said: "My China dream is to go to America.".

Chat apps are incredibly popular in China, with Tencent's QQ boasting more than 800 million monthly active users, according to internal figures.

The bot launched in 2014 and became popular with young men who talked to it to alleviate their loneliness. »

Scotland ‘on target’ for 100% renewable energy by 2020

Scotland is on target to generate all of its electricity from renewable sources by 2020, the Citizens’ Assembly has heard.

The Scottish government set a target for 500MW of locally owned energy generation facilities across Scotland by 2020, but has already exceeded this.

Saudi Arabia intercepts ballistic missile over capital

(CNN) Yemeni rebels on Saturday targeted an airport in Saudi Arabia's capital with a ballistic missile, according to Yemen's Houthi-controlled Defense Ministry.

But the missile was intercepted over northeast Riyadh, the Saudi Ministry of Defense said in a statement carried on government-backed Al-Arabiya television.
