Netflix, one of the studios behind "House of Cards," is officially severing ties with the show's star and executive producer Kevin Spacey, the streaming service announced late Friday night.
"Netflix will not be involved with any further production of 'House of Cards' that includes Kevin Spacey," a Netflix spokesperson said in a statement.
We have also decided we will not be moving forward with the release of the film 'Gore,' which was in post-production, starring and produced by Kevin Spacey.".
Then on Thursday, MRC and Netflix told ABC News in separate statements that a complaint was made about Spacey five years ago.
"When the allegations broke about Kevin Spacey on Sunday night, in conjunction with MRC, we sent a representative to set on Monday morning.
"On Tuesday, in collaboration with MRC, we suspended production, knowing that Kevin Spacey wasn’t scheduled to work until Wednesday.
Netflix is not aware of any other incidents involving Kevin Spacey on-set.". »
