I had a Tokay Gecko for 8 years. He died from seizures he started having that the cause was unknown. I was told when I got him that you cannot domesticate them. He was extremely aggressive at first but by about a year and a half he was completely tame toward me and my mother. He would run up to me and climb my leg. He would cuddle around my mom's neck under her hair. He went missing once as I was dumb and fell asleep with him out of his cage. He was not found for 2 months. My mom was holding a ladies bible study and I heard screaming. I grabbed the fire poker and the ladies said they all saw a rat go under the firewood holder. I lifted it and there was Ecko!!! He was even kinda chunky like he had lived well in his absence. I loved that lizard as much as I loved any dog or cat I've ever had.
Edit: People keep asking for pictures. Sadly, I have no access to them as the only pics are hard copies in my mom's old photo albums. Who currently lives an hour away from me.
This is clearly a photoshop. It looks like a tokay gecko, but it's being cute and resting in the hand, instead of trying to bite the shit out of the owners fingers.
