Since then, HBO’s television adaptation has brought millions more readers to Martin’s stories of dragons, war and royal dynasties.

The seventh television series recently launched, taking the adventures of Martin’s characters far beyond the storylines they have reached in the novels.

At the start of 2016, Martin told his readers that “there’s a lot written.

Last week, Verizon apparently got a running start in being less transparent when it decided to begin throttling its wireless customers without telling anybody.

Users at Reddit began noticing that when they streamed Netflix content or accessed Netflix's Fast.com speedtest, their connections were magically limited to 10 Mbps.

But it was the fact that Verizon couldn't be bothered to tell anybody this was happening that's raising a few eyebrows. »

More than 2,500 products subject to shrinkflation, says ONS

As many as 2,529 products have shrunk in size over the past five years, but are being sold for the same price, official figures show.

It said toilet rolls, coffee and fruit juice were also being sold in smaller packet sizes.

At the same time the ONS said 614 products had got larger between 2012 and 2017. »

A leading French philosopher who wrote a book on risk-taking has died after attempting to rescue two children from drowning.

Anne Dufourmantelle entered the water at Pampelonne beach near St Tropez on 21 July after the children got into difficulty.

French culture minister Françoise Nyssen said in a statement that Dufourmantelle was "a great philosopher who helped us live.". »
